Welcome to River Kids!
At River Kids it is our desire to partner with parents in leading children to have a personal relationship with God The Father, Jesus and The Holy Spirit. We pray that each child will accept Jesus as their King, trusting Him with all their heart and experience His presence in a tangible and personal way. Our vision:
1. We believe that we have a mandate to teach children the Word of God.
“Dedicate your children to God and point them in the way that they should go and the values they’ve learned from you will be with them for life.” Proverbs 22:6
2. We believe that children need a firm foundation of faith/truth on which to build their lives.
“Train up a child in the way he should go; even when he is old he will not depart from it.” Deuteronomy 6:6-7
​3. We believe that children belong to the Kingdom of God
Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.” Matthew 19:14​
Babies / Toddlers (Under 2 years)

We provide a baby and toddler space with live stream to the service where parents can comfortably sit and care for their toddlers/babies.

Age-appropriate books and toys are provided.

This is a great chance to build community with other parents of young children within the church.
Kids (Ages 2 to 8 years)

River Kids focus on showing the love of God through building relationships in a warm, safe and loving environment.

We aim to enable every child to develop a personal relationship with Jesus and love seeing families go on this journey together.

Bible lessons and activities for River Kids are carefully planned for the development of this age group. Our Bible lessons are fun, play-based with lots of interactive worksheet activities and craft which corresponds to the lesson for each week.
Preteen (Ages 8 to 13 years)

River Kids Preteen enjoy a deeper level of exploring the Bible through fun, creative and interactive discussion.

We create space for the development of great friendships and social interaction while embedding Christ centred values to our next generation through fun games and activities.

We encourage parental participation in our River Kids church
When a parent volunteers in kids church it reinforces the value of being part of a community and teaches children that as parents we strongly support our children in their faith journey. Kids absolutely love it and thrive when mum or dad come to help.
Our Commitment to Safe Church
River Church Sydney is committed to providing a child-safe and child-friendly environment for all who attend our services. We aim to ensure that children, families and workers have a safe and fun place to engage in Godly and meaningful relationships and grow in their walk with Jesus.
All of our kids church volunteers are trained in order to join our kids team. They all have a Working with Children Check and have undergone our Safe Church training. Our River Church Safe Policy is available on our website. www.riverchurchsydney.com.au
Join The Team
Our River Kids team volunteers are leaders who inspire, build/teach and model to the next generation. They are passionate about seeing kids grow in their faith. Our kid’s leaders are committed to their own walk with Christ and see their role in ministering to children as a calling and a privilege.
